Trevier Rolle, an honored student of the Staint John's College walked away with the overall title of OUR LITTLE MISS BAHAMAS 2008-2009. Before a packed audience 25 dazzling primary school beauties took to the stage in their final rounds of competition for the covetous crown .
Dancing to the High School Musical Theme Song - "Now or Never" and cloth in the official cheerleading gear with pom poms they danced to a cheering and applauding crowd. The
contestants paraded in front of the Judges for scores in the Career and Evening Segments which was added to their scores already achieve during the Preliminary and Judges Interview past events. The host and hostess for the evening were Mr. Robert "Bobby" Pinder and Miss Earth Bahamas - Garnell Storr. Entertainement was top notch as last years talent winner - Cerdia Duvalier brought the crowd to a standing ovation, she was followed by the out-going queen Lashanna Martin with a touching tribute to all the delegates. However the night was stole by the performance of the Popular Kemp Road Marching Band. Disc Jockey for the evening was Heavenly Melodies /Rev. Judges included the reigning Miss Young International Bahamas Brittany Johnson, Santina Smith from Commonwealth Drugs, Clint Watson Broadcaster and Performer, Ms. Monalisa Thompson Executive Producer of Diva's Model and Fashion Explosions and Mrs. Shenell Ferguson mother of ourgoing queen Lashanna Martin .
After receiving category awards, scholastic achievement awards and Christmas gifts, the four princess selected to represent the Bahamas International along with the newly crowned queen was announced. They are Angel Thompson, Darnika Johnson, Shanice Bulter and Alexis Dean. Little Miss Trevier Rolle was the only contestant to have placed within all the judged categories that carried through to the Finals. Category winners are
Miss Talented - Dayvette Nagee, Judges interview- Shanice Butler, Float Parade- Crashann Scott, Best Model- Bernea Smith, Best Evening Gown, Photogenic and Miss Amity- Tayjah Deleveaux and Miss Popularity- Darnika Johnson .
At the end of the evening the final results given by the Judges are: Little Miss Bahamas2008-2009 - Trevier Rolle, 1st Place- Alexis Dean, 2nd Place- Dayvette Nagee , 3rd Place- Crashann Scott and 4th Tayjah Deleveaux ...
The winning beauties will represent the Bahamas at the World's Our Little Miss Pageant in July of 2009. We wish ou new little ambassadors all the best .
